A weekly bulletin under the
name "NOOHRO" THE LIGHT continues to be published since November
1995. The LIGHT would have a different theme each year. It started as
an English version of the Weekly Holy Gospel, the Book of Act, Old Testament
and Epistles readings, then moved to give the readers as much information
as possible on our great fathers and forefathers through extracts from
their great lives, and the Syriac weekly calendar. Then moved to share
with the readers stories on our Saints and Martyrs, and currently the
LIGHT illustrates and discusses stories of personalities from the Holy
Bible, accompanied with a simple way to learn our Syriac Language together
with a quiz that would encourage readers to go through our history and
the Holy Bible in a very friendly way. Under the same name "THE
LIGHT" an annual calender is prepared and distributed to the community
members on Christmas each year. This calendar indicates the major Holy
Days in the Syrian Orthodox Calendar;
